Approximatly 45 minutes of highway and then the "Wine Road" begins, crossing the fabulous Chianti area until Greve in Chianti, the most important village of this area. Here the monument to Giovanni da Verrazzano, the explorer that discovered the largest part of teh East Coast of America, Piazza Matteotti with its porticoes, the San Francesco convent and a lot of shops and wine-cellars and butchers where the most famous people of Hollywood order beef, salami and ham, the best all over the world! Here you can choose to have the "simple wine tasting", a visit to the castle, to the gardens, the centuries-old ageing cellars and the wild boars that breed naturally in the surrounding woods. Then the local guide will show you the way as the wine is made and, most important will let you taste the various products of the farm, together different wines, each one to accompany different meats. The "complete wine tasting" instead offer you, after the visit of the Castle as explained above, a complete lunch based on all products of the farm each one accompany with the wine that is the most indicated to drink together... Example, if you choose the Classic Wine tour or the Chianti Tradition one you will have plenty time to visit Monteriggioni with San Gimignano or Siena or Volterra or have a stop in Pisa on the way back. If you choose the Wine & Food experience, the visit at the winery start at 12:00 and the lunch (unforgettable anyway) finish later than 3:00 pm, so the time will be short and will allow the driver to show you only San Gimignano on the way back or Pisa in the morning.
