The Medici: wealth, power, patronage and passion that launched the Renaissance. On this private, 4-hour walking tour you will discover the Florence of the legendary Medici.

DETAILS: FLORENCE OF THE MEDICI 4-hr walking tour

Recently the protagonists of a hit television series, the Medici were the most influential and important figures in Florence during the 15th century. The story of the Medici family is inseparably bound to the story of the city.

With a masterful alternation of entrepreneurial genius and diplomatic skill intertwined with family intrigues and political plots, the Medici rose from wealthy bankers to the ranks of grand dukes, queens and popes.

The members of the Medici family distinguished themselves not only for their political savvy but also as the promoters of a new way of approaching art and viewing humankind, which we now refer to as “the Renaissance“.

As we walk around Florence we will enter their palaces and their churches, we will discover the most indicative places connected to their name, to their power, to their extraordinary patronage, to their passion for classical art and culture, and to their immense love for the city of Florence.

The full experience is carried out in two 4-hour days. The condensed experience is a single 4-hour tour.
