Toulon
Toulon is one of those best-kept secrets of the French Riviera. Although it is not a heavily-trafficked tourist destination, Toulon has a lot of character and many interesting things to entertain the visitor (in fact, many French citizens tell our guides they had no idea Toulon was so interesting!)

The old town centre has been extensively restored, and is a pleasant place to linger and enjoy a beverage in one of the squares. The wide array of cultural exhibits offers something for everyone, especially for those who have an interest in military/naval history.

Sanary-sur-Mer
A fishing village that is still a fishing village, Sanary-sur-Mer is a place of many charms. It's impossible not to be amused by the brightly painted dinghies and what people have named them. Every morning there's a bustling market on the harbor. The old city center is pedestrian-only, beckoning the visitor with shopping streets that are very lively, especially in summer.

Le Castellet
As you stroll through the cobblestone streets of Le Castellet you may very well think, "Now this is what you come to France for!" Medieval buildings, cheerily-painted wooden shutters and abundant flowers frame the many boutiques spilling over with local handicrafts and pretty terraces where you can enjoy the delightful surroundings and a refreshment. From arched openings in the ancient wall there are great vistas of the countryside.
